Hi there; I am working on an application for the site and I have a quick question. My character, Alyssa, would be classified as a hybrid under your classification but I think she is different than the typical hybrid in that she doesn't have the benefits of both species.
She is more like a "normal" mutant; she is comprised of snow leopard and wolf DNA in addition to the human, but while she has some physical characteristics of the snow leopard (agility, enhanced vision, small fangs), she cannot shift into that form at all, and while she shows no physical signs of the wolf DNA, she can shift into that form for periods of time. She has no benefits from the wolf in her human form; the only thing she gets from the wolf DNA is the shifting ability, and she has no snow leopard abilities or strengths in her shifted wolf form.
Would that be okay? Thanks, please let me know.

It sounds fine, we'd (and by we I mean Haven and the staff) have to see the full bio, then it will be checked by Haven, she'll have the final judgment, but from my perspective that seems fine.

Exept for the fact that Hybrids cost money :/ and you don't have enough yet.

Well, it does say in the rule that Hybrids can be created using points or if you can get special permission. Perhaps this could fall under the latter category? If not, how can I go about obtaining special permission?

Special Permission might mean that you've been roleplaying a lot or have helped the site a ton and a staff member decides "Hey, she/he deserves a free hybrid for all there troubles!" I would stick with an ordinary mutant (haha, oxymoron), get used to the site and role play a little, then either when you have enough points you can get a mutant, or you could maybe ask again. I don't mean to be mean, but if we gave hybrids to every new person who asked there really wouldn't be any reason to have points. It would also be unfair to those who have been on here awhile and still don't have one. I hope you understand.
